Dangerous Dan was raised on the Plains of Southeastern
Colorado. Exposed to a variety of culture and musical tastes
though his upbringing, Dan's view of the world became enlightened
with a better understanding of culture. A hobby of researching
and listening to music became a talent of composition, developing
a new method of piecing together various forms of music
with one-another.
At the age of 9 Dan had established himself as the "go
to DJ" across Southern Colorado. Simultaneously, Dan
talked his way into a four hour weekend slot on the local
radio station to host a Top 40 all request show. The show
was a hit and provided Dan with an outlet to grow his on-air
announcing and programming abilities. By his freshman year
in high school Dan was providing custom production for top
100 market radio stations, deejaying three and four nights
a week, and studying as much as possible on broadcast engineering
theory. Through the remainder of high school Dan achieved
certification on various levels for IT and Broadcast Engineering,
leading to a full time engineering job with Denver heritage
station KDKO.
Dan's transition to a major market provided the platform
for further success. Dan began performing as a deejay for
numerous venues across the Denver metro area. His broadcast
career expanded with consulting jobs as an audio processing
specialist, making radio stations loud, for several of the
largest radio group owners in the country. Dan also maintained
his voice over and production work, focusing primarily on
radio imaging.
Inspired by local talent, and the evolution of hit music
into a less bias and more broad category, Dan took his career
one step further to provide deejay duties for national tour
artists, ESPN Boxing Matches, and Night Clubs on a national
level.
Today, Dan continues to develop new and innovative marketing
and programming techniques for radio, tour constantly at
night clubs and private events, and inspire the next generation
of entertainment pioneers.
